IB PYP Early Years Educator
Teaching Philosophy
As an educator, I firmly believed that no child learns in the same way and that we are responsible for creating meaningful, hands-on, authentic learning experiences that will challenge students at their readiness levels. I believe that student inquiry and curiosity should not be limited to the four walls of the classroom but should extend into the outdoors and broader community to develop young learners with a sense of global mindedness. Lessons that incorporate different world perspectives are especially crucial for me in this international setting where students come from so many backgrounds. It's my goal to create a safe, encouraging classroom environment that will contribute to students' sense of belonging and community. I hope to continue developing my abilities as a teacher to not only hold my students to high expectations but also myself. As an educator, I am reflective of my practice and constantly seek to update and better it through collaborative settings with my peers and students. I am creative, practical, and goal-oriented when problem-solving and excel in a positive working environment.
